Elementary Class
Lower Elementary students ages 6-10 are ready for new challenges. This is the stage at which children are ready for abstract thought, which leads to mastering abstract concepts.
In this class students are invited to pursue their passions and explore into their interests. With teacher guidance, students begin to take greater responsibility for their educational journey.
Around age six, children graduate from the Montessori Primary class (preschool/kindergarten) into elementary school. At around six, children change physically, socially, and intellectually. Dr. Montessori described this as children entering a new plane of development.
Montessori Elementary is designed to fully engage 6 to 10 year old in learning to develop their sociability, curiosity, and drive to contribute to their community so they can acquire the skills and knowledge they need to flourish in life.
